State Highway Administration Working On 301

SHA started a $1.1-million project to resurface two and one-half miles along southbound US 301 (Blue Star Memorial Highway) from the Kent County line to south of MD 544 (McGinnes Road). Work was scheduled to begin on September 8 and be completed by the end of this month. Motorists should expect single-lane closures along southbound US 301 between 7a.m. and 4p.m., Monday through Friday. SHA will use cones, barrels and signs to guide motorists through the work zone. SHA awarded the contract to David A. Bramble, Inc. of Chestertown.

SHA also will resurface the shoulders along southbound US 301 and re-stripe the highway. More than 11,500 vehicles travel along US 301 at the Queen Anne’s/Kent County line each day. Motorists should expect delays through the work zone. SHA thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation.
