Student Government Association Raises Money For Cases For Kids Program

The Cases For Kids Charity Program recently received a donation of $201.35 from the Queen Anne’s County High School Student Government Association (SGA). Breauna Halford, secretary for the SGA developed the idea to raise money for this charity with the assistance of Bobbie Jo Felton, the teen pregnancy counselor at the high school. “”This was the first year that we decided to do a fundraiser for charity. We raised the money by holding a bake sale and giving students the option of donating $1 to wear paw stickers on their hats or to listen to their ipod or cd player at lunch””, said Breaua Halford.  Cases For Kids is a charity program that gives suitcases and duffle bags filled with clothing, toys, books to local foster children and children in need throughout the community. It is sponsored by Babies In Bloom & Blooming Deals Consignment in Centreville.
