Summer fun isn’t just for the big kids! Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation is offering three classes just for preschoolers at the Kent Narrows Center, the former outlet mall adjacent to the Kent Narrows Bridge.

Tot Fun Time, for ages 1- 4, provides fun-filled mornings of games, hands-on projects, music, storytelling and much more. Parent participation is required. The cost is $25, and the class is held Mondays, July 6 – July 27, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A second session will be held on Tuesdays, July 7 – July 28, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and also costs $25.

Wiggles & Giggles is for ages 1 ½ to 3 and uses creative movement activities to encourage the development of body awareness, hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, and self-esteem. Props are used. Participation of a playful parent is required. The cost is $35 and the classes are held Wednesdays, July 8 – July 29, 2009 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. A second session will be held Thursdays, July 9 – July 30, 2009 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

The third program geared toward preschoolers is Rumble Tumble Tots for ages 3-5. Kids love this introductory tumbling class where they learn skills such as forward roll, crab walk, bridge, handstand and more. Props such as hoops, ribbons and a balance beam add to the fun. The cost is $35 and classes are held Wednesdays, July 8 – July 29, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., or Thursdays, July 9 – July 30, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. or Saturdays, July 11 – August 1, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
