The Talbot Bank, a member of Shore Bancshares, Inc., is supporting Talbot Mentors’ efforts on behalf of the children of Talbot County. The financial institution recently made a $1,000 contribution to the nonprofit mentoring organization.
Moorhead Vermilye, President and Chief Executive Officer of Shore Bancshares, left, presented the donation to Tom Fauntleroy, former Talbot Mentors Vice President; Executive Director Diana Trams; and Dr. George Gilfillan, Past President of Talbot Mentors.
Trams thanked Vermilye and Shore Bancshares for their continued generous support. “Talbot Bank has been a part of the Talbot Mentors family since our founding twelve years ago,” she said. “We are most appreciative for their commitment to the community and to the children we serve.”
Talbot Mentors has been matching students with adult volunteers since 1997. More than 65 mentors currently participate in the program, sharing an hour or two of their time each week with children in need of additional adult friends.
