“October 14-17: Wings of Freedom Tour 2008 – The Ultimate Living History Experience. Presented by the Collings Foundation. Explore these majestic bomber aircraft inside and out. Feel the engines power up and take to the skies in an amazing 30 minute flight experience. Easton/Newnam Field Airport, Easton. Walk through tours are $12 Adults/$8 for children 12 years and younger. October 18: Tilghman Island Day – Come enjoy the fun with the “”locals”” and watch watermen and boat docking contests. Fill yourself with wonderful seafood, listen to live music, and check out the antique shops, auction and craft tables. 10 AM – 6 PM. Kronsberg Park, Tilghman Island. October 18: Memorial Hospital’s Foundation Harvest Hoedown – The Memorial Hospital’s Foundation will hold a harvest hoedown at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Talbot Country Club in Easton to help raise money toward Shore Health System’s investment in digital mammography. There will be dancing, food and music by Ralph Case and the Cloggers. Dress for the event is country western chic. Tickets for the Harvest Hoedown are $175. October 18: Annual Pride of the Bay Concert – 7pm at Chesapeake College – “”Barbershop Salutes Broadway”” . The Pride of the Bay Chorus is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA), a society that has been in existence since April 11, 1938. October 18: Antique Tractor Pull – Welcome To the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association. We are an all-volunteer organization founded in 1973 and headquartered on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Our Mission is to preserve the historical Eastern Shore rural way of life. Registration 10am to noon. Pull starts at noon. October 18: 3rd Annual Trappe-Toberfest – Celebrate the harvest season at the 3rd Annual Trappe toberfest, a community-sponsored, alcohol free event held in downtown Trappe on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. (rain or shine). Top off the day with a free bluegrass concert from 3-6 p.m. with the Good Deale Bluegrass Band, featuring Mike Auldridge, and The Fitzmaurice Band. Watch artists at work during the Trappe Plein Air Paint Out, with awards for the best paintings and an outdoor exhibit and sale. See demonstrations, including safety demos, police K 9 dogs, emergency helicopter display, sand sculpting, line dancing, and others. Street fair features vendors, crafters, and community groups.
