Talbot Mentors’ annual Pool Party went on as scheduled, even though the Easton pool closed at the last minute due to lightning in the area. More than 50 kids, mentors and family members came out for an evening of food and fun at Moton Park instead.

Making the most of the unexpected change of venue, the planned water games became lawn games and still provided plenty of prizes. And when it was time for dinner, no one had to wait a half hour afterwards before going back to playing.

Talbot Mentors provided fried chicken and beverages, while families and mentors brought side dishes, desserts and other snacks.
