Talbot Partnership has announced the recent appointment of Gary Pearce of Easton as its new executive director, succeeding Janet Pfeffer, who recently retired after serving as executive director for 17 years. Pearce most recently served as business manager for Echo Hill Outdoor School, Inc. in Chestertown. Prior to Echo Hill OutdoorSchool, he established the Sylvan Learning Center in Easton.
His management background includes serving as president of Hockman Lewis Ltd., an export company in West Orange, NJ, and as vice president of Wayne Division, Dresser Industries in Salisbury, MD, a manufacturer of petroleum and automotive equipment. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from University of Delaware inNewark, DE.
Pearce comments, “Talbot Partnership is positioned to help facilitate change in our community around drug, tobacco, and alcohol use. I am looking forward to working with our partners and community leaders to continue to build a community culture favoring drug-free youth.”
Pearce lives in Easton with his wife Ann. He is currently a board member for the Talbot Optimist Club and participates with Talbot Mentors.
