Talbot Partnership is seeking youth, youth leaders and parents to join a new Youth Coalition Steering Committee. Talbot County has one of the highest rates of alcohol and substance abuse in the State of Maryland. The intention of this group is to find ways to involve the youth of the community in addressing the problem and finding solutions to this serious problem.
Talbot Partnership, which was founded in 1991 as a community coalition, encourages the community to recognize the problems and implement solutions related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse by implementing policies, promoting early intervention programs and building a community culture that favors drug-free youth.
The first meeting of the Youth Coalition Steering Committee will be held on February 25 at 4 p.m. at Talbot Partnership’s office on the second floor of Bank of America at 8 Goldsborough Street, Suite 203 in Easton.
