Tax sales are properties sold for delinquent property taxes or utility bills. In Kent County the number has risen to over 420, nearly double the number in 2008. Queen Anne’s says its tax sales increased to over 800 this year. Many of the tax sales appear to be from builders who cannot sell their new homes.
