Teen Drug And Alcohol Use Still High In Kent County

Teen smoking, drinking and drug use in Maryland are decreasing statewide, but all three are still high in Kent County. The latest Maryland Adolescent Survey shows 40-percent of Kent County 12th graders admitted smoking cigarettes; 75-percent admitted drinking alcohol; and, more than half reported using either marijuana, narcotics or other drugs. This is nearly 10-percent higher than the state average.
