Three people were hurt and one person was charged with assault following an accident involving two cars and six teenagers last weekend on U.S. Route 301. Maryland State Police said Jonathan P. Hively, 18, of Queenstown was driving a 1993 Honda Accord that collided with a 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 17-year-old Chestertown boy. Three passengers in the Cavalier, one from Sudlersville and two from Millington, were injured and taken by ambulance to Chester River Hospital Center. Hively, the 17-year-old Chestertown boy, and a fourth passenger in the Cavalier, 19-year-old John Lee Hall of Chestertown, were not injured. Police charged Hively with five counts each of first- and second-degree assault; two counts each of malicious destruction of property over $500 and malicious destruction of property under $500; aggressive driving and reckless driving; and, 10 other traffic violations. He was held in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
