Sharing, caring, learning and fun are the keys to Tiny Tots Preschool’s success for more than 30 years.
Tiny Tots, a program of Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation, provides preschool classes to children who will turn three or four by the end of 2009. The department is holding an open registration on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Tiny Tot Classroom in Historic Christ Church in Stevensville.
Tiny Tots kids are introduced to numbers, letters, colors, tastes, history, science and math; while developing social skills in a caring, fun-filled environment. The program is licensed by the state’s Department of Education – Office of Child Care. Barbara Baxter, recreation coordinator for Queen Anne’s County Parks & Recreation said, “We now have parents who themselves graduated from Tiny Tots, and are registering their little ones for the program.” Baxter has been with the Tiny Tots program since 1989, and instructor Linda Simmons came on board two years prior to that.
Tiny Tots’ program for 3-year-olds is offered during the 2009/2010 school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Classes for 4-year-olds are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The annual fees are $900 for 3-year-old classes and $1,000 for the 4-year-old program. To help with the family budgeting process, preschool fees may be paid in monthly installments, bi-annually, or annually. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee.
