Downtown Centreville will bustle with activity on Saturday, June 27 from 9 am to 1 pm when the “Art of the Deals” returns for the fourth year. Visit the courthouse square and meet interesting artists and civic groups from around the region. Shop for beautifully handcrafted jewelry, painted glass, leather items, fiber sculpture and baskets, belts and delicious treats. Civic groups including Corsica River Conservancy, the Queen Anne’s Chorale, Centreville Rotary, Chesapeake Cats & Dogs and the QAC Animal Shelter will also be on the square for demonstrations, information and even the animal adoption. Everybody Yoga owner Phyllis Johnston will be on the green in the morning to teach a free 45 minute yoga class, Pick N Paint will have a table there too, while other downtown businesses are offering clearance sales, discounts on spa treatments and more. Shoppers can pick up a map listing participating merchants at the Art Council’s table on the square. Hungry shoppers can pick up fresh produce, flowers and more at the Farmer’s Market, buy lunch downtown and visit area businesses who are offering refreshments, specials or both.
Hosted by the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council, and supported through a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, this is a family friendly day that encourages people to enjoy local resources.
