The Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems shortly will decide whether to move the medevac helicopter known as Trooper-6 from MSP Centreville Barracks to a new place at Easton Airport. There were two public opinion meetings last week on the subject. Kent and Queen Anne’s residents wondered whether they would get the same prompt service. At the meeting in Easton, members of the state police aviation command and EMS made a big case for moving Trooper 6 to Easton. Along with the move, it is possible another pilot and medic may be added to the helicopter’s crew for safety reasons.
