Inspirational singer/songwriter Susan Mack will conduct a discussion and audio chat via www.spirituality.com about finding the joy in Christmas on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 2-3 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Easton, 501 S. Washington St.
For most of us, Christmastime means family gatherings, food, and perhaps the sharing of presents. But the true spirit of the holidays has a spiritual basis. Sometimes the rush of shopping, cooking, meeting and greeting erodes that spiritual light, and activities become a burden instead of a joy. Join this chat to learn more about the joy of following the star that brings us to the true meaning of the Christ in Christmas.
Susan Mack is a folk singer/songwriter of inspirational music and has had nine CDs recorded, including five available in Christian Science Reading Rooms. In addition to serving over 20 years in the practice of Christian Science, she has given many talks on that subject. An active church member, she has been an Institutional Chaplain, Reader, Sunday School teacher, soloist and interfaith worker. She lives with her family in St. Louis, Missouri.
All are lovingly invited to the Christmas audio chat, as well as weekly Sunday services and Sunday school at 10:30 and Wednesday testimonial meetings at 12 noon. This chat will also be archived as of December 18 on spirituality.com.
Parking is available behind the church or in the park across the street. Child care is always provided. Call (410) 822-1133 for further information.
