Update On Kent County Deputy Injured In Car Accident

A deputy with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office apparently fell asleep at the wheel of her patrol car on her way to work, wrecking the car and suffering a concussion, but no broken bones. Sheriff John F. Price identified the deputy as Ashley M. English, 22, who joined the department 14 months ago. English was on her way to the sheriff’s office from her home in Ridgely. A MSP helicopter flew English to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she was treated and released. Price said his office is conducting an investigation to determine if there is a need for disciplinary action.
