The Ocean City Beach Patrol is warning summer fun enthusiasts to use caution to avoid head and spinal injuries. The patrol is asking beach patrons to follow the slogan “”Feet First, First Time”” and avoid diving head first into shallow water before first checking its depth. Of the approximately 100 head and spinal injuries reported each year, beach officials say most can be avoided by following that rule.
