VFW Burglary Suspect Arrested

On January 21st, Bellefonte Police department notified detectives of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office that they had located Raymond J. Flick in their area. PACI (Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center) had issued an attempt to locate Flick based on the felony warrant held by Detective Shane Russell of Queen Anne’s Sheriff’s Office. After a possible sighting of the vehicle by a State College Police Officer, Detective Richard of the Bellfonte Police checked a residence of a known female acquaintance of Flick and located the vehicle, a 1997 Ford Explorer parked there which was registered to Flick. With the assistance of an arrest team, Flick was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was also seized and impounded.

Flick was held on a fugitive from Maryland warrant, appeared before a Judge on Friday afternoon and agreed to waive extradition to Maryland. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office will go to Pennsylvania early next week to return Flick and the vehicle to Queen Anne’s County.

The warrant on Flick charges him with Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 4th and Theft over $500 with additional charges possible. The investigation is continuing to identify any co-defendants.
