This summer, Vaughn Volungis, art instructor at the Chapel District Elementary School, will again offer his popular course of classes for budding artists in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library. In past years, Volungis’s course has included instruction in drawing, painting, and sculpture. “Art Adventures with Vaughn Volungis” will consist of three classes taking place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 28 – 30. Classes for children entering grades 1 and 2 will take place on those days from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., while classes for children entering grades 3, 4, and 5 are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. – noon. Parents need to pre-register their children for this course. Signing up for the course commits a child to attending all three classes. “Art Adventures with Vaughn Volungis” is supported with funds from the Talbot County Arts Council.
