Dr. Barbara A. Viniar will be inaugurated as the fifth president of Chesapeake College at 10 a.m. on March 27 at the Todd Performing Arts Center. In celebration of the inauguration, Chesapeake College has a full slate of public events planned for the last week in March:

• March 23 – A sustainability roundtable with USM Chancellor William E. Kirwan at 9:30 a.m. at the Todd Performing Arts Center, followed by a $20 luncheon at 12:30 p.m.
• March 24 – An open house will be held at the Chesapeake College Cambridge Center from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• March 25 – A panel discussion about women who lead at 7:30 p.m. at the Todd Performing Arts Center featuring: Susan Sygall, founder of Mobility International; the Rev. Allison Stokes, founder of the Women’s Interfaith Institute; Victoria Jackson-Stanley, mayor of Cambridge; and, Karen Harris Oertel, owner of Harris Crab House.
