Get ready to serve, pass, set, attack, block and dig as Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation launches two Volleyball Camps this August.
In the first Volleyball Camp, specifically for kids ages 9 to 13, campers will develop an understanding of the concepts, principles and mechanics involved in volleyball. They will learn the basic movements in passing, serving, and footwork for hitting. Each day camp will end with fun mini-games that will challenge them with the skills learned that day. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. This camp will be held at Queen Anne’s County High School, Monday – Friday, August 3 – August 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. It costs $90 and the program number to register is 541001.
The second camp is High School Volleyball Camp for grades 9 through 12, and is also held at Queen Anne’s County High School. This is an all around skills camp held in August that will work on a variety of skills including footwork, jumping, hitting and placement of the ball. Camp will focus on improving skills that players already have through a variety of drills and strength training. This camp is designed to get players in top shape for the Fall 2009 volleyball season. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. High School Volleyball Camp will be held Monday – Friday, August 10 – August 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The cost is $90 and the program number for registration is 541003.
