Workshop Explores the Potential of Positive Thinking

Shore Health System’s Center for Integrative Medicine is offering a three-session workshop designed to teach participants the nuts and bolts of positive thinking. Anne Pogue, CMT, MA, will lead “The Potential of Positive Thinking” on Monday, September 8, 15 and 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Center for Integrative Medicine, 607 Dutchman’s Lane in Easton.

“Many of us have an idea of what positive thinking is, but don’t really understand how to use our thoughts effectively as a tool to create the life we want,” says Pogue, a certified massage therapist who has a graduate degree in pastoral and spiritual care. “Our habitual thinking is often shadowed by fear, worry and doubt, which sabotages our best intentions. In the workshop, participants will learn that positive thinking is not unrealistic or naïve, but a choice that empowers us to live life fully.”

Over the three evenings, participants will identify the nature of habitual thinking, recognize how the physical body acts as a radar system for their true feelings, and learn a practical technique to apply in daily life.

The cost of the program is $65. To register, call the Center for Integrative Medicine at 410-770-9400.
