Wye River Upper School (WRUS) will host their 4th annual Sporting Clays Tournament on Saturday May 16 at Pintail Point in Queenstown, Maryland. Spend an exciting day with friends, colleagues and neighbors on the sporting clay range while enjoying the picturesque beauty of The River Plantation on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. After the shoot enjoy a catered lunch donated by Snappers Waterfront Café. Three prizes will be awarded for each Lewis class of men’s, women’s and juniors.
Jeff Moran, Director of Development for WRUS reports that friends of the school do not have to register to shoot in order to show their support. “If you do not wish to compete, than purchase a lunch ticket, support the auction, and spend a beautiful day with friends.”
Silent and live auctions will follow lunch. Items and prizes available include an Outer Banks vacation condo, half day of fishing for 6 aboard Misty Charters’ Miss Jinny II, rounds of golf at the Easton Club, decoys by local artists including Howard Bauer, a 3 month membership at the Island Athletic Club, and Head of School for a Day.
Sponsorships for the shoot are still available. Local corporate supporters include Dukes Moore Insurance, Rathell & Bardwell, Peoples Bank of Kent County, Avon Dixon Insurance, Rathell Farm Equipment, David Bramble, Anthony, Walker and Duncan, and Wye Financial and Trust. Advertising in area newspapers, photo opportunities, and local recognition are offered to sponsors.
