Academy Art Museum Offers Lecture and Music & Tea in December

The Academy Art Museum in Easton is offering two events in December. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, 1 p.m., the Museum will offer Music and Tea featuring vocalist Jeffery Grayson Gates. The event will feature a full afternoon tea by Oxford Greens and an afternoon of sacred and secular songs of the season to usher in the holiday season. Reservations are required. The cost is $48 for Museum members and $83 for non- Museum members.

On Thursday, December 13, 2012, 6 p.m., the Museum will present a lecture, Burt Kummerow: Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake, as part of the Museum’s Kittredge-Wilson Speaker Series. In his lecture, sponsored by PNC Wealth Management, Kummerow will recount the War of 1812 and explore the Tidewater world of two centuries past. The presentation coincides with the recent release of his book, “In Full Glory Reflected, Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake.” The cost is $15 for Museum members and $24 for non-Museum members.
