Kaleidoscope Summer Arts Camp
An Innovative Summer Arts Experience
Instructors: Dian Breza, Christy Edwards & Kate Richards Ages: 6 yrs. & up
Dates: July 25-29, August 1-5
Time: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Members $90, non-members $100
Each week will feature opportunities to explore and develop projects from observation and imagination. Drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and printmaking will be included in the processes.

A Journey of World Music & Percussion
Instructor: David Fairbank
Ages: 7-10 yrs. and Ages 10 yrs. & up
Date: July 11-15
Time: Ages 7-10: 9:30 a.m. – noon
Ages 10 up: 12:30-3 p.m.
Members $100, non-members $110
Creativity is encouraged, however musical ability is not required. Participants will explore multicultural styles, and then learn to combine these different methods.

Just for Girls
The Art of Thought
Instructor: Kate Richards Ages 10-13 yrs.
Dates: July 11-15
Time: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

An exploration of thoughts, the written word and the art that can come from them. An incorporation of paper making, constructing a personal journal and creative writing.

TEENS

Drawing into Acrylic Painting
Instructor: Katie Cassidy Ages: 13+
Dates: July 18-22
Time: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Members $140, non-members $150
The transition from drawing to painting is natural and fun in this class. The student will revisit the basic elements of draw ing and develop a good foundation for acrylic painting through a series of exercises.
Color theory, composition and painting techniques will be explored. All supplies will be provided.

Memoir Writing for Teens and Pre-teens
Telling Your Story: Reflections and Dreams
Instructor: Joan Katz
Dates: July 7, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for ages 9-12
July 8, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for ages 13+
Members $25, $35 non-members
Memoirs are a collection of stories of who you are, where you have been and how your life experiences have shaped you. The best way to tell the story is to draw on memories, pho tos, keepsakes, interviews,
and the use of private and public data including the use of the internet.

Photography for Teens: Young Shooters
Instructor: Tom McCall Ages: 13-18
Date: July 16
Times: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Members $75 non-members $85
Learn how to see how your camera sees so you can start tell ing it what to do. Participants will learn aesthetics, technique and how to see what is all around them.
