Adkins Arboretum Holiday Wreath Sale is Saturday, December 1

Ring in the season with local greenery for a beautiful Eastern Shore holiday! Adkins Arboretum will hold its annual Holiday Wreath Sale on Sat., Dec. 1 at the Arboretum Visitor’s Center in Ridgely. Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Shop for one-of-a-kind wreaths, roping, centerpieces and decorated boxwood trees, all handcrafted by Arboretum volunteers. Each wreath is crafted from local evergreens and adorned with dried flowers, fruit, cones, seedheads and ribbon. New this year, shoppers can pre-order wreaths at adkinsplants.com and pick up their purchase on Nov. 30 or Dec. 1 or 2.

A program on Creating a Holiday Wildlife Tree and a Holiday Decorating Workshop will also be offered on the sale day. Participants may register for programs at adkinsarboretum.org or by calling 410-634-2847, ext. 0. The Arboretum’s Sweet Bay Gifts shop will be open during sale hours, and shoppers are invited to peruse nature-inspired gifts, enjoy hot cider and take a wintry walk in the woods.

Donations of greens are graciously accepted, and volunteers are needed to create wreaths. For information on volunteering or donating, contact Joanne Healey at 410-634-2847, ext. 32 or jhealey@adkinsarboretum.org.
