Discover the excitement of spotting cool green ferns and the subtle colors of woodland flowers when Adkins Arboretum offers a popular Soup ’n Walk program on Sat., June 18. Following a guided walk through the Arboretum’s forest, meadows and wetland, participants will enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch along with a brief lesson about the meal’s nutritional value. Copies of recipes are provided.

Participants can register for either a one-hour or two-hour walk to spy lady fern, cinnamon fern, New York fern, Christmas fern, netted chain fern, Indian cucumber, bluets, blackberry, deerberry, and arrowwood blooms. The menu will feature light and fresh vegetable soup, gingered cantaloupe with kiwi, double oat bread with wild blueberry jam, and red, white and blue trifle.
