Adkins Arboretum will ring in the holiday season with its annual Holiday Greens Sale, Saturday, December 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Deck the halls for a beautiful Eastern Shore holiday with nature’s renewable resources from the Shore’s woods and meadows. Decorated wreaths, swags, roping, topiaries and boxwood trees will be for sale, as well as fresh local greens and natural materials to create your own arrangements.
The day will include two natural decorations workshop sessions, from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., led by garden designer and Arboretum docent Nancy Beatty. Participants will make a table centerpiece and kissing ball with fresh greens and other natural materials. The workshop is $18 for members and $20 for the general public. Adkins Arboretum is a 400-acre native garden and preserve at the headwaters of the Tuckahoe Creek in Caroline County.
