Adobe Lightroom for Organizing, Editing, Much More

image003Photographer Don Dement brings a two-day workshop on Adobe Lightroom to the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts. The instructor will explain how to easily organize, improve and recover, search large collections, display, send and print digital image files.

The class covers Adobe “Lightroom” (v. 3 or 4), the most popular tool for photographers with many images. Topics will include operation and settings for Library and Develop modules whose powerful editing can replace Elements, working faster and better, or include any external editor. Students will install Lightroom on a laptop (Windows or Mac) and follow along in class. The instructor will hold interactive discussions and work on problem solving using various examples. Dement has taught digital photography and editing with high acclaim at Anne Arundel Community College, Chesapeake College, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and at the Centre for the Arts since 2002. He is an award winning Annapolis area professional photographer and instructor. His work includes land and seascapes, maritime and social events, real estate, portraits and weddings, architecture, fine art and online gallery presentations. He has taught digital photography and editing for ten years. He is an award winning photographer and exhibits his work widely.

“Adobe Lightroom; Organizing and Editing” The class will be held on two consecutive Saturdays, March 9 and March 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Centre for the Arts in Centreville, MD. Deadline for registration is March 1 and the cost is $115 for Arts Council members or $135 for nonmembers.
