Adult Grief Management Classes offered by Hospice of Queen Anne’s

Hospice of Queen Anne’s Bereavement Program will offer a series of grief management classes for adults dealing with grief after the death of a loved one. These bereavement services are available to anyone in Queen Anne’s County who is living with grief regardless of the cause of death.

A Grief Management Class is a place where bereaved adults can learn more about grief and how to deal with it, in the presence of others who understand because they too have experienced significant losses.

Participation in this class may prevent grief-related problems later in one’s life. The class is not group therapy, but when it works well, it certainly can be therapeutic. It is not a social group, but friendships often form as class members get to know each other. Each class will focus on topics related to grief, and will include activities, teaching, and open discussion.

This series of classes will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30, for eight weeks, from March 30 until May 18 at our offices at 255 Comet Drive in Centreville.

Participants are asked to make a commitment to attend as many classes as possible. There is no fee for this class. Registration will be held on a “firstcome, first-served” basis, and class size is limited. Call or email Susan Brandon at 443-262-4109 or sbrandon@hospiceofqueenannes.org to ask questions or to register by March 26.
