Two distinct classes start this June as instructor Hanna Kingsley returns to the Centre for the Arts with classes for those interested in Anime and Chibi drawing fundamentals. “Drawing Anime” starts by teaching the basics of Japanese cartoon characteristics: distinct with bright, colorful, whimsical and beautiful elements. Using this as a starting point, students soon learn to create their own Anime characters. From drafting the image to inking in the final lines, the completed work is unique to each participant. This is a three session workshop held Tuesday through Thursday starting on June 18 from 1 to 4 pm. Ages 12 to 18. Class cost is $65 for members and $80 for non members. A $5 materials fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. Registered students will receive a materials list. The deadline for registration is June 12.
