Hip and Knee Pain? How to Get Relief

Description: A free class designed for people who need help managing their joint pain. This one-hour program covers basics of arthritis and options to get relief from pain. Taught by one of the program coordinators from AAMC’s Joint Center, a national role model for excellence in joint replacement. During the small group session, participants have plenty of time to ask questions and get answers to their questions. As part of the session, appointments with AAMC joint surgeons can also be arranged.
Smoking Cessation: Become Smoke-Free

Annapolis Stroke Club

Description: The Stroke Club is a support group for stroke survivors, their families and caregivers. There is no charge to attend. Members will gather monthly for educational programs and social activities. Meeting topics will include stroke related education, such as stress management and medication management. Topics will vary each month.

Breastfeeding Support Group

FREE. Breastfeeding mothers are welcome to this gathering held the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Group is led by a Certified Lactation Consultant. Discussion topics vary and are frequently determined by the participants. Program is very informal and welcoming to breastfeeding mothers regardless of experience or degree of commitment. Maternity Tour

Description: Participants will tour all 3 floors of the Clatanoff Pavilion. They will learn about Family Centered Maternity Care, our visitor guidelines and birth practices. When available, participants will see one of our birthing suites and a mother-baby room. Although participants are shown the NICU area, they do not actually go in to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care). The participants will visit the Mother-Baby unit and learn about the care they will receive after the baby is born as well as the security measures in place to ensure their safety. .
