Another 301/544 Accident

A Severna Park man was flown to a trauma center after his vehicle left U.S. Route 301 south and rolled over, landing in a wooded area near the intersection of state Route 544. The condition of Thomas Davis, 82, was not available, but police said that both Davis and his wife, Dorothy Davis, 80, who was in the passenger seat of the couple’s Dodge Dakota pickup, were conscious and appeared to have only minor injuries following the accident. Police said medics were at first going to transport the couple, who had to be cut from the vehicle which landed on its side, to a local hospital by ambulance, but a medical technician then found a lump on Thomas Davis’ head. Trooper One helicopter was called to transport him from the scene. Police said they did not believe Dorothy Davis’ injuries called for air transportation. According to police, the couple was apparently returning from a trip to New Jersey.
