Anti-Bullying-PosterARC Character Coaches; Demonstrate To Students The 6 Pillars of Character; With A Puppet Show Emphasizing The Anti-Bullying Message!

Bullying is not cool, It’s actually very cruel, So rise above the hate, Let kindness be your fate, Stop bullying in school!

– Poem Written by Margie Boyles, MiKayla Beck, Kristi Jones, Character Coaches and ARC members.

On Monday May 19th, The ARC of the Central Chesapeake Region Eastern Shore members presented its newly created puppet show for the students of Centreville Elementary School (CES).  The puppet show was put on by members of ARC whom also serve as Character Coaches for the students at Centreville Elementary. The show featured multiple skits highlighting the Anti-bullying message supported by the Six Pillars of Character; Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship! The Puppet Show was followed by a presentation for students in Stranger Danger; a program of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office sponsored by Rita’s Italian Ice.

“The members of ARC truly enjoyed putting on the program for the students!”-Mary Anne Lange, ARC of the Central Chesapeake Region

The ARC members and staff who participated in creating and presenting the puppet show for the students are Doy Schultz, Andrew Lauck, Thomas Brannock, Amy Hanneman, Erin McCarthy, David Briscoe, Eric Wilkins, Margie Boyles, Kristy Jones, Shanell Wilson, Amanda Colins, Phyliss Wilson, Bob Casteel and Mary Anne Lange.

“Having the members of ARC be a part of our Character Counts program at CES gives them confidence and increases their self-esteem, which in turn increases their quality of life.  The students at CES also benefit from classroom Character Counts lessons from the members of ARC and the puppet show they created; highlighting all six pillars and character traits, which are demonstrated with good character.”-David Dulac, Principal at Centreville Elementary School.
