Argentine Tango Workshop in July

image003The month of July begins with a bang as Championship Dancer Amanda Showell leads students in an Argentine Tango workshop. This award winning dancer instructs students of all levels and has gained a faithful and growing following in Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties. Intermediate students will advance their knowledge of Argentine Tango steps, rhythms and techniques and further develop their dance style. Some experience with tango is required.

Singles and couples are welcome. The cost is $25 for members of the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council or $30 for non-members. This one-day workshop will be held at the Centre for the Arts on July 3rd from 7 to 9 pm. Advance registration is required by June 26. Ages 13 and up.

Showell has taught at some of the largest dance schools on the east coast, having coached the dance teams of both Princeton University and the University of Delaware. A teacher since 1996, she has won numerous ballroom dance competition titles and trained with World Class dancers such as Peter Eggleton and Charlotte Jorgensen.
