March 5-April 6: Troika Gallery presents “A Passion for Portraits”
This exhibit showcases original portraits by Troika Gallery owners Laura Era, Dorothy F. Newland, and Jennifer Heyd Wharton. All three women have been professional artists for more than 20 years each. The show features their portraiture in oil, watercolor, and pastel. Opening reception and Artists Talk, March 5, 7:00pm. Newland, Era, and Wharton create commissioned portraits, including children, families, pets, and homes, in an open studio setting behind the main gallery.

March 6: Freedom Rowers Spring Rowing Season begins. Freedom Rowers offers competitive, recreational, and “learn to row” teams for youth rowers. Teams practice on the Tred Avon River in cooperation with Evergreen Cove Holistic Center in Easton, which hosts the launching facility. Indoor training is held at the Easton YMCA. Crews practice Tuesday-Friday, 3:30-5:45 p.m. During April and May, youth teams will compete in regattas held in Baltimore, New Jersey, and Delaware. March 8: 6th Annual “Local Color” Prospectus Released. Artists Prospectus released for the 6th Annual “Local Color” Art Show & Sale.
