Local artist Glenn Shiring will host “Art at Noon” every Saturday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the Kent Island Branch of the Queen Anne’s County Free Library. The program is open to all ages, and families are encouraged to attend.
Each person or family will leave with a completed piece of art made using recycled materials, which are provided. Sample art can be viewed in the library’s lobby and teen reading area.
Shiring, a professional artist and musician, encourages individuals to express themselves creatively. “Understanding of abstract thinking helps with concrete thinking,” he said. Shiring is also the organizer of the Experimental Café in Grasonville.
The library is located at 200 Library Circle in Stevensville. All library programs are free of charge. No registration is required for Art at Noon. For more information, contact glenn@dreamriot.com.
