June 1- August 31: Summer Hours at the Centre for the Arts. Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

June 1: Deadline for artisans, authors and civic groups for Art of the Deals: Community wide event featuring artists, a farmers market, music, demonstrations and information tables on the Courthouse Green, June 18, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Downtown merchants will have specials and sidewalk sales. Interested artists should call the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council about renting table space. Civic groups are free, but must pre-register with the Centre. Centre for the Arts, 206 S. June 9: Thursdays in the Park. 7-9 p.m.: Chesapeake Bay Community Band at Millstream Park, Centreville, MD. Free. Parents and the community will be wowed with a final performance. Educator, actress, director and model, Tamika Hall is a graduate of Washington College with a degree in Theatre. She is the founder of Mikatoure Academy of Modeling and the Performing Arts (www.mikatoure.com) and held the title Mrs. Maryland Essence 2010. Monday through Friday, four weeks. July 5 – 29: Mikatoure Modeling and Self Esteem Camp for Kids ages 6-12: 12:30–3:30 p.m. Young people will develop character, confidence and charisma and have a great time too. Instructor Tamika Hall, held the title of Mrs. Maryland Essence 2010 and is the founder of Mikatoure Academy of Modeling and the Performing Arts (www.mikatoure.com). Her modeling and teaching experience are the hallmarks of her interest in teaching character development through self esteem building activities. Poise and confidence are also incorporated through teaching runway techniques. The class culminates in a fashion show. Monday through Friday, four weeks.
