Artsy Messenger Bag Purse Workshop

MessengerBag (326 x 400)Using different crafting techniques, students will create a unique purse that reveals their personal style. This one-of-a-kind purse is decorated with fabric pens and rubber stamps by “doodling” on a design and then filling in the doodles with paint, glitter, micro beads and other flourishes. Students can bring new or vintage jewelry pieces from home or other items to make a work of wearable art.

Talented artist and business owner Candace Liccione will teach this one-day workshop at Wye River Designs, 4300 Main Street in Grasonville, on Sunday, June 23 from 1 to 3 pm. This is the perfect way to spend an afternoon for individuals looking for special instruction and friends who enjoy crafting together. All materials provided by instructor. $35 for members, $45 nonmembers. The deadline for registration is June 17. Ages 13 and above.

Artist and instructor Liccione grew up in the craft industry with her family’s business Aleene’s Tacky Glue. She has been teaching crafts for many years as the owner of a gift shop in Philadelphia and a farm in Pennsylvania.
