Backyard Collections & Primitive Decor

By Sandra Zunino

With summer days just around the corner, now is the time to start revamping the back yard to create the perfect retreat, and Backyard Collections & Primitive Decor in the Amish Country Farmer’s Market in Easton can help.

Backyard Collections, owned and operated by Sam & Emma Rose Stoltzfus of Intercourse, Pennsylvania, provides, delivers and installs the finest quality sheds, garages, gazebos, pergolas swing sets and other outdoor products from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Customers can visit the Backyard Collections showroom in the Farmers’ Market and choose from the many  sizes, styles, materials and architectural embellishments that are on display or Sam can bring samples when he visits the homeowner and evaluates the site.

Part of a free home consultation, Sam not only can help customers customize their building  design, he can offer valuable tips such as optimal structure size and placement on the property. Thanks to many years in the building industry including framing and roofing in his company, Stotltzfus Home Improvements, Sam has utilized his experience more than once to relocate a building site and avoid potential problems for the homeowner down the line.

Emphasizing customer service and convenience, Backyard Collections can also provide the foundation for the structure including building up the area for the site and pouring concrete. “This is a one-stop location,” says Sam. “We can do any type of foundation.”

While most buildings are made to order and arrive complete upon delivery, there are some occasions when a structure must be constructed on the property. If that is the case, Backyard Collections has a team ready and depending on project, the building will be completed in a manner of hours.

In addition to a selection of outdoor buildings, Backyard Collections & Primitive Décor also offers a variety of outdoor furnishings, weathervanes, cupolas, statuary, wind chimes and other outdoor accoutrements.

Added to the showroom in 2008 is an assortment of country-inspired decorations, gifts and collectibles as well as handcrafted Amish furniture. Candles, home fragrance, braided rugs, linens, artwork, wreaths, dried flowers and inspirational plaques are chosen by Emma Rose to reflect the charm and personality of a county home.

For the Stoltzfus’s, customer satisfaction is their top priority. “You will be delighted you did business with Backyard Collections,” says Sam. “We guarantee it.”
