Beading has changed to include a number of new styles. In a one-day workshop participants can choose from two types of beading techniques: a floating style or a bead to bead anklet to create. You will learn a variety of techniques including how to attach soldered rings and clasps as well as basic methods for crimping, stringing, color choices, sizing and spacing.
Join talented jewelry designer Jinny Guy on Saturday February 2 from 1-4 p.m. at the Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts in the upstairs studio, 206 South Commerce Street in Centreville. Guy is a self-taught artist who combines her love of color, fashion and fun to make stunning jewelry and jewelry sets. This is the perfect class for individuals looking for special instruction and for friends who enjoy crafting together. The class fee includes tools, beads and string supplies. Students will need to bring scissors, 12” straight edge with metric measure and a bag lunch. $43 non-members, $33 members. Ages 12 and above. The class deadline is January 25.
