Basic Boating Safety Course

The Kent Narrows Sail and Power Squadron will be welcoming the 2012 boating season with a Basic Boating Safety Course (ABC, America’s Boating Course) that will be held from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm starting on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department.

This course is designed for boaters using all types of watercraft and covers general information about:
1. boats and personal watercraft and their maintenance
2. how to make your boating safer and more comfortable and
3. US Laws and Regulations you must follow.

Completing this course qualifies MD residents to carry the Certificate of Boating Safety Education, which is required by law if you were born after July 1, 1972. This course is sponsored by the US Sail and Power Squadron and the cost is $35 for members and non-members.
