Basketball Shooter / Scorer Camp for Ages 9 – 17

Camp Director Paul Hoover is considered one of the premiere basketball shooting coaches in the United States, said Curtis Blouch, recreation coordinator for Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation. “We are pleased to be able to offer this camp with Coach Hoover who has guided hundreds of collegiate and professional players. Hoover is the author of Pro Shooting Secrets and the Focused Shooter DVD.   The Pro Shot Shooting Camps, held at Bayside Elementary, will be the best instruction and experience each player will ever receive on the hardwood, Blouch said. The camp is based on developing a player’s mental and physical basketball skills.

The Pro Shot Shooting Camps takes shooting concepts from the best players in the game. These little known “secrets” comprise the Pro Shot Shooting System. Pro Shot has been called the most revolutionary shooting system ever devised. With techniques that are straightforward and logical, the Pro Shot System combines mental aspects with the physical to produce accurate, rhythmic and quick shooters.

“Pro Shot shooting camps are not based around fun games and shooting aspects that every 10 year old already knows,” said Coach Hoover. “We use advanced shooting concepts (the same system that we teach our professional players) with help of power point presentations and video. Players will be able to clearly see how the best shooters shoot and why they shoot in the manner that they do. There is not a camp that will improve a player’s mental and physical shooting skills quickly or more than Secrets of the Pros Shooting Camp.”

Camps will be held Monday – Thursday, July 19 – July 22, 2010. The Junior Camp, for ages 9 – 13, runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Senior Camp, for ages 14 – 17, goes from 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The cost of camp is $125.
