Be a Saint on March 17th

This St. Patrick’s Day, local law enforcement and the Queen Anne’s County Traffic Safety Coordinator remind you that law enforcement will conduct Impaired Driving Saturation Patrols for those deciding to drive after consuming alcohol beverages. You are reminded to make plans by having a designated driver before the night’s celebration begins, spending the night or calling a friend if you have had too much to drink. Enjoy your friends and have some fun, just don’t drive if you’ve had anything to drink.

In the past five years in the United States, Eight Hundred Fifty-one (851) people were killed in crashes during St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Three Hundred Twenty-seven (327) of these people involved in those crashes were related to drunken driving offenses. For more information go to
