A group of volunteer bird and decoy carvers are now meeting at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) each Thursday and Friday morning to share bird carving traditions and techniques. The Thursday group is for the beginning carver, with the Friday group focused on more advanced techniques. Pictured from left: Instructor Larry Parker is helping Bob Herman learn decoy carving techniques in the Dorchester House of CBMM. Participation is limited, with advanced registration needed. For information on joining the group, please contact CBMM Volunteer Gene Rall at 410-829-8368.
