Shore Regional Breast Center will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its art gallery with several activities in October.
Artists have been invited to submit work for the October exhibit. The theme of this show is cancer survivorship. The public is invited to the opening of the exhibit on Friday, October 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The exhibit is open at other times by appointment.
“Our relationship with artists in the community began in 2006 when a group of breast cancer survivors created a mosaic mural as part of their recovery process,” explains Mary Jane Flynn, RN, nurse coordinator for Shore Regional Breast Center. “Since we opened the art gallery last year, the Breast Center has become a regular stop on the Easton First Friday art walk.”
Shore Regional Breast Center is hosting a reception to honor art gallery artists on Sunday, October 17, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Miles River Yacht Club in St. Michaels.
Shore Regional Breast Center is located at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, 219 S. Washington Street. For more information about the art gallery, contact Sara McCafferty, 410-822-1000, ext. 5387.
