The Bridges Land Management Garden Center officially unveils its expansion this Saturday at their Annual Open House. Food, prizes, children’s activities and potting workshops will be offered from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in addition to Bridges regular customer service and many gardening products.
“It’s a nice family outing,” says KC Bridges.
Owners Eric Bridges and his wife KC started the expansion project early this spring. Now the garden center has doubled in size and the garden shop, also expanded, received an upgrade. “We have been very busy this year so far and we are very pleased,” says KC.
While Bridges provides a broad range of landscaping services, including demolition and excavation, shoreline restoration, patios, stone walls, ponds, plantings and lawns, as well as installation and lighting for any kind of outdoor living space, Eric recognized that in today’s economy, more homeowners were taking the do-it-yourself approach.
The garden center, open year round, has always offered a wide selection of plants, gifts and other seasonal items including live Christmas trees and wreaths in winter and pumpkins, mums and autumnal outdoor décor in the fall. With the renovation, nursery shopping turns into relaxing experience thanks to the addition of waterfalls and serene music.
Bridges knowledgeable staff takes the time to help every customer from choosing and caring for plants, to recommending garden and landscape designs. Customer service is paramount as staff will not only load purchases, but put down plastic lining to protect automobile trunk interiors if needed.
In addition to annuals, shrubs, gardening tools, fertilizers, outdoor garden and party decorations, Bridges also offers both bagged and bulk landscape materials such as mulch and soil as well as serves contractors and homeowners with heavy equipment rental such as tractors, mini excavators and bulldozers. Despite all this extra service, Bridges is still committed to keeping prices completive for their customers.
As always, Bridges Land Management’s 48-member crew is also available for complete landscape projects and renovations.
This year the garden center will be open even more hours, adding Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to the usual 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Bridges Land Management is conveniently located on Route 33 in St. Michaels at 1114 S. Talbot Street. For more information about Bridges Land Management and the garden center, visit www.bridgeslandmanagement.com or call 410-820-4784.
