Brown Named New United Fund Director

The United Fund of Talbot County (UFTC) announced the unanimous election of Jason T. Brown as a new member to its governing board, Class of 2017 at a recent board of directors meeting. Fellow United Fund board members with whom he will serve include Joe Anthony, Zuleika Ghodsi, Glenn Klakring, Ron Lee, Chuck Mangold, Jr., Leslie Stevenson, Marie U’Ren and Jim Vermilye.

Jason has been in public accounting for eleven years.  He is a graduate of the University of Richmond where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a double major in accounting and finance.  As a certified public accountant with Accounting Strategies Group, LLC, Jason specializes in consulting and tax advising for individuals and closely held businesses.  He is also a Certified ProAdvisor for the QuickBooks software.

Jason is a member of the AICPA and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Currently, he is treasurer for Caroline County Chamber of Commerce and served in the same capacity in the past for Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence. Jason resides in Easton with his wife Amy.
