Kent Island High School Student Government Officers (2010-2011) will participate in a one day youth leadership workshop on Saturday, June 12th at the Chesapeake Exploration Center in Chester.
Students represent the newly elected SGA officers and are comprised of 10th, 11th and 12th graders, under the supervision of SGA Advisor, James Evans.
The workshop is being sponsored by CloseCall America which is a Queen Anne’s County Business of Character. CloseCall America, based in Stevensville since 1999, provides local and long distance telephone services, wireless, Blackberry, DSL/Internet and Digital phone services. The workshop is being facilitated by Eileen Nonemaker of Paradigm Associates, Queenstown. Ms. Nonemaker is a certified business coach and former educator working with individuals and organizations to develop and implement success strategies. Paradigm Associates is also a Queen Anne’s County Business of Character. The workshop content will be adapted from the “America’s Rising Stars” youth leadership program developed by Resource Associates Corporation in Wyomissing, PA.
Chevy Chase Bank, Chester, will provide lunch for the twenty-five participants and Bob Gosselin Photography, also in Chester, will document the event with photographs taken during the facilitation.
