Canadian Travel Writers Discover Queen Anne’s County

KENT NARROWS – Queen Anne’s County Tourism Coordinator Ashley Chenault hosted Canadian travel writers during the groups’ May 15th tour of the county. Chenault collaborated with Maryland Office of Tourism during the writers’ visit to five Maryland counties. The local tour included Blackwater Distillery & Tavern Tour, a boat tour of Kent Narrows and Rock Hall.
“It is always a pleasure to collaborate with the Maryland Office of Tourism,” said Chenault. “I am pleased my colleagues in neighboring counties and I were able to provide an outstanding itinerary that helped the writers embrace the Chesapeake Bay culture. The journalists expressed that they felt very welcomed and particularly loved the savory Chesapeake cuisine – especially the countless number of ways crab meat can be incorporated into practically any dish. I look forward to the positive press that will be generated on the region as a result of this familiarization tour. Creating meaningful experiences for travelers, journalist or not, is a form of advertising that is both evergreen and priceless.” The travel writers names and credentials are as follows: Liz Fleming/Canadian Travel Press, Davina Sinnatamby/Today’s Parent, Paul Zander/faze.ca, Taylor Newlands/Escapism.
